During yesterday’s touchpoint meeting we announced eligibility changes to the Faculty Computer Program (FCP). Your feedback and questions were shared with University leadership and we are happy to announce a decision has been made to continue expanded eligibility.

As a reminder, under the expanded program, Dean of the Faculty (DOF) affiliated ranks are eligible for an FCP device. Visiting Faculty are eligible to receive a loaned device. Faculty appointments less than one year may also be considered for a loaned device.

What is not changing

To restore the program to our prior funding levels, we will continue to limit some of the more expensive computing options and remove the monitor bundle option from our catalog until a more competitive price can be secured.

Availability of Apple M4

Apple MacBook Pro 14” and 16” models equipped with the latest M4 Pro chip are now available to order using the Faculty Computer Order form. The Trusted Device Catalog has been updated and a how-to guide for FCP orders can be found in KB0013736.
