The Office of Information Technology will be updating the production cPanel server (cpanel.princeton.edu) on October 15 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. As part of the update, the cpanel.princeton.edu server will be replaced with a new server that will use Entra ID for single-sign on, instead of CAS. No action is needed by account owners.

What you need to know

During the update process, single-sign on (SSO) to cPanel accounts for administrative purposes will be unavailable, however all cPanel accounts will continue to operate. Local login to cPanel accounts for administrative purposes will be available, as outlined in KB0011816.

Which cPanel accounts are impacted?

• *.mycpanel.princeton.edu
• *.deptcpanel.princeton.edu
• *.cpaneldev.princeton.edu
• All DNS aliases pointing to these cPanel accounts.
