Upcoming AWS Account Attestation Process

Beginning  October 2024, the Office of Information Technology will implement a semi-annual account attestation process for Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts.  

As part of this process, AWS account owners will receive an attestation email on October 1 containing two options: keep your account active or delete. Please click on the appropriate option to let us know the status of your AWS account.  We would appreciate receiving your response by October 31. 

Why are we enabling account attestation 

Security: Regularly confirming account activity helps us ensure that only authorized users have access to our AWS environment, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and potential security breaches. 

Cost Control: By identifying and deactivating unused accounts, we can better manage our AWS resources and avoid unnecessary costs.
