On Monday, June 30th, 2025, the Office of Information Technology will recover storage utilized by suspended accounts, deleting private Google Drive files for users that have not logged in between 2012 and 2023.  

What you need to know

The private Google drive files of affected suspended accounts will be permanently deleted. Suspended accounts will remain inaccessible. Accounts on legal hold will not be impacted. No action is necessary, the deletion process will be handled automatically and the change cannot be reversed.
